This Interface box will fit the following Kenwood models with the 6 pin standard microphone connector

TR-7700, TR-7730, TR-7750, TR-7800, TR-7850, TR-7930, TR-7950, TR- 8400, TR-9000, TR-9030, TR-9500

Our interfaces now come in two cable lengths ... 3 feet and 6 feet long. The 3 feet long cables will allow you to have your radio and computer up to 5.5 feet apart, which is probably far enough for most people. If you have more space between your radio and computer the 6 feet long cables will allow you to have your radio and computer up to 11.5 feet apart. Please be sure to choose which size cables you would like before you hit the "ADD TO CART" button. If you don't choose a size for the cables it may slow down your order as we will send you an e-mail requesting the length.

NOTE: All digital interfaces must use a serial port to connect to your computer. That's because all software programs at the moment require you to set a serial/comm port for PTT. If your computer does not have a serial port, consider purchasing a USB to Serial port adapter. For more information about USB to Serial port adapters, see our Tutorial page. This interface also connects to your computer through the line-in (or microphone) and line-out (or speaker) ports on your soundcard.
